Stacy is the creator and illustrator of The Frizz Girls, a children’s picture book series designed to educate, empower, and encourage girls ages 5–13 to love and care for their wavy or curly hair. Each book includes interactive elements such as quizzes and coloring pages to help children build confidence and express themselves. The series also includes The Hair Chronicles, a guided hair journal created for adults navigating curly or wavy hair routines, salon appointments, and styling preferences.
In addition to her children’s books, Stacy has authored educational eBooks for artists, designers, and illustrators, offering guidance on writing client proposals and contracts, as well as beginner-friendly, step-by-step instructions for preparing files for print using Adobe InDesign.
In 2026, Stacy and co-author Shawn Vester-Khan will debut Story Starters, a guided writing journal series for aspiring authors. The series features short, two-sentence writing prompts across multiple genres, including romantic comedy, science fiction, and more, helping writers practice their skills and explore whether authorship is the right creative path for them. An adult edition will launch first, followed by a children’s version.
Stacy is also currently writing and illustrating a new children’s picture book series for grades 1–3 centered on a young artist named Paul. The series explores themes of perfectionism, emotional regulation, creativity, and patience with art and is scheduled for release in 2026.
Stacy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Kentucky and a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from Northern Kentucky University. When she’s not writing, illustrating, or creating new artwork, she spends her time preparing for art exhibitions, traveling, working out, and indulging her fascination with Los Angeles car chases.
